THE SECOND-HAND FAMILY BUSINESS SELECTION

 

How is the selection of second-hand Family Affaire clothes going?

• What type of clothes do you take back?

• Our favorite brands are Bonpoint, Bonton, Jacadi, Cyrillus, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Petit Bateau...

• What age groups do you cover?

We take back second-hand clothes from 0 months to 12 years, sometimes 14 years. We will decide together during the selection.

• Do you take back anything other than clothes?

In second hand, Family Affaire also includes:

• The costumes of beautiful brands
• Shoes up to size 35 and in perfect condition only
• Body only Petit Bateau and more upscale brands such as Bonpoint, Jacadi...
• Sleeping bags in very good condition,
• new bibs,
• Brand new, more premium brand underwear,
• New bathrobes and towels,
• Hair accessories, for example new (barrettes, headbands, etc.)

We do not take back:

• Mini baby shoes
• Clothes from collections that are too old
• The following brands; Primark, Grain de Blé, Compagnie des Petits, Kiabi (with some exceptions), and distributor brands.

We have set up a quality standard:

• What are your quality criteria?

Our quality experts would like to receive:

• Clean, folded and odor-free clothes (tobacco, humidity)
• No holes or stains
• Recent collections

You must check and remove:

• All clothes still stained after washing, even very little, yellowed...
  • Check sleeves, collar
  • For coats: clean and empty pockets...
  • Check the rubber bands
  • Remove clothes that have been repaired

• How are clothing collections and drop-offs carried out?

• Selection of your clothes at home:
  • We come to your home by appointment to make the selection in Paris and the Paris region
• Visual selection of your clothes:
  • By appointment, we make the selection when you are not in Ile de France
  • You can optionally send us videos by WhatsApp

Time of deposit:

• Deposits of your second-hand clothes to be made:
  • Paris 7th (for now)
  • Issy les Moulineaux 92
  • Bois-Colombes 92

Collection or deposit? :

• Collection: At home from 100 items in Paris or the Paris region (to be validated together)
• Deposit: In France, in Europe or in the world, after the selection made together in video, you can send us the clothes via Mondial Relay
• Collection: For collections in London, we have a particular operation, send us a request and we will explain everything to you by email.
• Deposit: If you only have brands selected by Family Affaire and clothes in perfect condition, in this case you can send them directly to us via Mondial Relay. If certain items prove to be non-compliant, we will send them back to you (at your expense) or donate them to associations.

During the quality control by our experts at the time of the online publication, if the clothes did not comply with our criteria (holes not detected, or stains):

• We donate them to an association,
• You can collect them at your own expense or by coming to collect them within 7 days. After this time, the items will not be returned.

How is the second-hand Family Affaire clothing going online?

• Once received, and therefore the selection made and validated by our Second-hand Family Business experts, your clothes are:
  • referenced, labeled,
  • Ironed,
  • Photographed, retouched
  • Posted on the site.
  • They are then stored in our warehouse, then sold during our pop-ups (ephemeral shops) and on our Family Affaire e-shop.

• How do you set prices for Family Affaire second-hand clothes?
  • Prices are set according to:
    • From the second-hand market price,
    • Clothing brand sales,
    • Collections and branding of the article.
  • On average between -50 and -70% of the initial price of the garment

What are the pricing conditions for Family Affaire?

Family Affaire is a second-hand consignment store and destocking of brands:

• We donate 40% of earnings (on items sold), every 3 months. We send a summary table to our sales staff.
• You do not take care of anything, we manage everything for you.

The remaining 60% covers our fixed costs such as taxes, levies, warehouse rent, salaries, packaging, accountant, communication costs, shipping costs and all other fixed costs. .

• How do you distribute the earnings to the vendors?

Several solutions concerning your earnings:

• We offer you if you wish:
  • A credit on the Family Business site linked to a customer account. You will be able to use the amount earned on the site and thus participate in the circular economy of second-hand and brand destocking.
• We make a transfer to your bank account.

What are the conditions for storing second-hand clothes?

• How much do you keep the clothes?
  • We keep the clothes for an indefinite period.
  • If we decide to give them to you, we will notify you in advance. We discuss and decide together: if you want to recover them or if you want to give them to an association.

After 6 months of sale (on the Family Affaire website or in store), we reserve the right to lower the prices in order to optimize its chances of finding a buyer.
